2018 July 24-1 Peter 3:9ESV
‘Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. ‘
Lord Hear My Prayer:
For all of us in need of a blessing.
Today, I found myself in Weatherford, Texas in the morning and I took the opportunity to photograph verses.
When this verse came up, I was near the lake and I think about the challenge present within these words. How instead of doing evil, I need to bless. It is hard to follow sometimes. Especially when the person across from me angers, hurts, destroys, suggests, etc, etc and all I want to do is return hate with hate. It is hard and I know I don’t always do the right thing. So the challenge is made over and over again. After every failure, I can start again, anew. Be granted another opportunity to bless, until, like the lake resting throughout time, watching me struggle and succeed, I can obtain its peace and blessing.
Peace from the DFW Metroplex via Weatherford, Texas,
It is not winning every attempt / Rather winning in the attempt
