2018 MAR 23 -John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
Today, I drove up to Oklahoma City. While up here, I took my photos around the Oklahoma City National Memorial.
Just like the first time I had been here, I was in awe of how pretty and reflective this place is. And just like the verse I choose to write about, I am reminded that we are to love one another. If we love one another than we would not need Memorials like this. Rather maybe there would be Memorials of Love.
John Mayer’s In Repair is a song with the most haunting verse. I’m not together, but I’m getting there…
Stood on the corner for a while
To wait for the wind to blow down on me
Hoping it takes with it my old ways
And brings some brand new luck upon me
Oh, it’s taken so long
I could be wrong, I could be ready
Oh, but if I take my heart’s advice
I should assume it’s still unsteady
I’m in repair
I’m not together, but I’m getting there
Thanks be to God for reminding us of how far we have yet to go.
Cheers from the Oklahoma City,
