Day 0038: 4-C St. Patty’s Day Hike

2018 MAR 17- Genesis 2:7

‘then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. ‘

Today, I hiked the 4-C Trail. It is about 20 miles through the piney woods of Deep East Texas in the Davey Crockett National Forest.

I am beginning to think I am getting a bit old as my knees swell and my feet hurt, but I tell anybody who will listen that it is better to burn out than fade away. I believe it is after all why God created us.

Two verses from Never Come Back Again by Austin Plaine gave a boost tody.

I wanna wake my soul
Climb the highest mountain
I wanna write my name in the clouds and never come back again

I wanna ease my mind
Of all the doubt that haunts it
I wanna run out in the light and never come back again

Thanks be to God for giving me a day of greenery on St. Patrick’s Day.

Cheers from the DFW Metroplex via Davy Crockett National Forest,
Solo Mon
