2018 FEB 23 – Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek (ESV)
Today, I went down to San Antonio and the surrounding area for a family matter and while at lunch, I saw this cross on the ground and it was about the time I was pondering the verse above. I was not ashamed to snap a photo and share it.
Another photo, I was not ashamed to snap was at the Alamo with my cool Bible Plan Cross. I have used this stone cross that is engraved with the words, ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Provers 3:5.’
A song that overcomes shame and is overflowing with inspiration is ‘I Lived’ by One Republic.
Hope when you take that jump
You don’t fear the fall
Hope when the water rises
You built a wall
Hope when the crowd screams out
They’re screaming your name
Hope if everybody runs
You choose to stay
The strength of the words and the power from the melody are an inspiration in the way that our salvation fills our lungs and fuels our muscles to not be ashamed of what we BELIEVE.
